My best friend Jaimie, of eighteen years, and her husband Tim are currently embarking on their journey to build a family. Tim and Jaimie have always dreamed of raising a family. Jaimie was born with a congenital heart defect and at age twelve, she had her mitral valve replaced. The medication she requires to regulate her blood causes complications for pregnancy. In addition, during this past year, she was diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder that increases the risk of complications during pregnancy. Jaimie is one of the most caring people I know and goes out of her way to help anybody she can. Jaimie has volunteered at a hospital camp for children who are unable to attend a regular summer camp due to medical needs for twenty years and she lights up when she tells me the stories of how amazing the kids at camp are. Nothing would make this couple happier than being able to raise children. Tim and Jaimie have been researching options to begin their family and have determined that surrogacy will allow them to safely have children of their own. In hearing Jaimie and Tim talk about their journey, I’ve learned that there is a huge financial cost associated with pursuing surrogacy. Although this cost is extremely worth it and they are doing everything they can to prepare financially, I would love to do anything I can to contribute to being able to see somebody who is like a sister to me, attain her dream of being a mother.
While trying to think about how I can help, I have decided to host bunny therapy sessions where 100% of the proceeds will go towards their surrogacy costs. It would mean the world to me if you would consider signing up for these special bunny therapy sessions. Jaimie and Tim will be present at these events and look forward to meeting each and every one of you! Let's help put a bun in the oven for this amazing couple!
