FAQ:
Q: Where are you located? A: We are in Auburn on the east hill. Our address is not permanently published on our website for the safety of our homestead. You can check the map below for a very close proximity of where we are located. Our address will be sent in an email to all who fill out the form above.
Q: How long of a wait will it be once I arrive? A: Most families show up between 12pm-1pm and the average wait during the busy time is about 15 minutes.
Q: Can I show up a little earlier than 12pm or just after 4pm? A: We run a very tight schedule so we ask that you do not arrive earlier than noon or after 4pm for services. Thank you for respecting our time in advance!
Q: How long does a nail trim service or scent gland cleaning last? A: Each bun is different and we may need to swaddle or help relax your bunny before beginning. It could take anywhere from 3 minutes-10 minutes per bun.
Q: How much experience do you have trimming bunny nails and cleaning scent glands? A: I have owned rabbits for over 25 years and have been trimming nails and cleaning scent glands during that entire period. We also offer nail trims for our boarding bunnies so it's safe to say I've trimmed thousands of nails over a 25 year period! I am very confident in my abilities to safely handle and not trim too close to the quick which can cause them to bleed if cut too close.
Q: What happens if my bunny bleeds from a nail trim? A: I try my very best to be as careful as I can. Of course accidents happen but it isn't very often. In the case that it does happen, I administer kwik stop styptic powder, which makes the bleeding stop instantly and your rabbit will be fine within seconds!
Q: What if my rabbit is very skittish and doesn't like being held? A: I don't mean to toot my own horn but they don't call me the bunny whisperer for nothing! I have dealt with several timid rabbits during nail trims and I am confident that I can safely get the job done with little to no affect to them. The bunnies I am servicing will be in a separate room from the main barn room where you and others will be waiting. The less amount of people and noise, the better. We also will be playing classical/ calming music.
